At first Bonnie was a little too shy to enter the kindegarten room. But one of the teachers, who happens to share the same name as her grandma ( the dancing teacher she had before was also with the same name... fate?? LOL), made her relaxed and asked her to draw. Drawing is something that Bonnie loves doing. The first drawing she did on her first day of kindergarten??
Her precious daddy... We thought the downward lines right under the eyes were eyelashes, but she explained that it wasn't. "What are they then?" her daddy asked. It seems that she drew a crying daddy after being kicked by her accidentally on the bed while sleeping. LOL
I can still remember my kindergarten days, but it was not the same at all here. They are designated into groups and also a sign. Bonnie's sign is the pear. So her items are marked with pears. At first I thought of embroidering, but that would to much work and we didn't have that much time. Then I thought of the iron-on embroidered pears. So we went to the craft store but we couldn't find any of those. Instead the store clerk recommended iron on transfer. Bought some paints and transfer papers and the 'project pear' (as I called it) started. Drew pears on the paper, waited them to dry, then iron them on any textile - her bedsheets, pillow case, bag, etc.
Few example pears. :) Past few days I couldn't help calling Bonnie - "Bonnie the pear". LOL Now, with still some more paints left, I still can make some more designs for fun and revamp some of her plain t-shirts. :D
Anyway, it has been about 2 weeks since Ramadhan or fasting month started. So to all my muslim friends, how has it been? Time to rest our digestive system a bit, less idle talking or doing unnecessary things (if you really do follow the rules) and if you don't gobble up a lot at breaking fast time, it is also a great opportunity to slim down ( a good alternative to dieting or consuming diet pills). Really is like killing more than a bird with one stone. LOL For me I think it's okay since I don't eat much in the first place. Don't even have many people around that I can gossip or have idle chat with. LOL But I sure miss the bazaar Ramadhan back home.
Oh well, nearly noon, Bonnie will be back soon. :)
